How successful was organized labor in improving the position of workers in the period from 1875-1900? Analyze the factors that contributed to the levels of success achieved.
If someone could point me in the right direction of this ( since me + DBQ's= ) I would greatly appreiciate this so much. I've been sick so i haven't been able to get to school to get these notes/help from the teacher.
THanks
Okay, here's a push. See how far you can get and if you're still confused put where you're stuck and I'll help you through that too.
First list all the labor organizations of the time. Next think about why they began and what they wanted to accomplish. Then think about the changes that occured under them. The last thing is to think about what may have helped/hindered the changes the did or could have come about (like easily replacable work force...). Put it all together and you've got an essay. Remember to look at your documents. While they may not offer you valuable information on the success or failure, they may help point you in the direction of where to look for information and what type of information might help you.
So check your notes and your book and see how far you get.
Good Luck!
