hi um i just did this essay like 2 weeks ago n i did well on it, so i could help u w/ it... just im me on aim @ ruby1989...
This topic is almost identical to my essay assignment that is due tmr, my knowledge about the transformation is limited:
-political
decentralized colonies to independent states with a central government
formation of a constitution
separation of church and state
-economic
loss of market
inflation due to loose regulations
development of manufactory
-social
exodus of loyalists
emergence of distinctive social stratification
restriction of slavery
thence i cannot provide specific facts, hope this might help...
This was actually VERY similar to an essay on the AP American History exam last year.
that's because it was the dbq for the ap exam last year...
That is the exact same question i have to do on 2 days
Lemme think,
It was quite a bit of change in all three areas, not the same amount throughout though.
The economy was pretty much thrown to pot because of America's debt to France, their depriciated currency (the continental), and most everyone was still farming.
Socially, women had more rights in some states, slavery was restricted (sort of social and political, I suppose . . . maybe even economical).
and politically, a strong central government was established, a bill of rights created, the country was split mainly into two factions (federalist and Anti-federalist)
Thats about all i can think of right now, although I'm sure there's a truckload more :D
hope this helps . . . it looks like you posted this a while ago, though
