My class has to write about the relative importance of domestic and foreign affairs in shaping American politics in the 1790's.
so far, I am going to talk about:
domestic
the us bank
foreign
neutrality proclamation
french revolution
Jay's treaty
I am thinking that the big changes in american politics in that time period are the emergence of political parties, and probably the US starting to use isolationism. any other ideas? thanks a bunch in advance.

were adopted in 1791 these provide for freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, the right to assemble, the right to petition the government, and various due process and criminal procedure rights for individuals.
The Department of Foreign Affairs
created by act of Congress on July 27, 1789, and the name changed to Department of State on Sept. 15, 1789
Just go to http://www.historychannel.com/ and start searching years(ie. 1790, 1791, etc.) thats where I got those 3 and I only had to put in 3 years.
