While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
A DBQ is just a Document Based Question. Basically it is like an essay, only a lot more open and you get things called 'documents' to help you. They're just first hand accounts or pictures of what happened. These can be anywhere from 5-infinity paragraphs... i would suggest around 10 though... at LEAST
Essays are just like normal essays--- try for at least 5 paragraphs, with an intro and conclusion;)
Thanks you rock!

If i could suggest a method of going through DBQ documents real fast and getting all your thoughts organized...
it's called the soaps test: my teacher taught it to me freshman year when i took AP world History
anywho:
S- Subject (what the hell are they talking about?)
O- Ocassion (what the hell are they writing this for?)
A- Audience (who the hell would read this?)
P- Purpose (why the hell are they writing this?)
S- Speaker (who the hell is this guy?)
There was another one, too, but i can't remember it...its been 2 years...
hope it helps!
