Help with essay please

What were three major advantages and three disadvantages of both the Americans and the British as the American Revolution began in 1775. Justify your choices.

 I have the info, but does it mean to state the three advantages of Britain that were the Americans' disadvantages and then three advantages of the Americans that were Britain's disadvantages. Or is it list three advantages of Britain and then America and then three disadvantages of Britain and America?

So far I'm doing my intro paragraph, Britain's advantages, Britain's disadvantages, America's advantages, America's disadvantages, and then my conclusion paragraph. Am I doing this right?

It's the three advantages of America and Britain and three disadvantages of America and Britain (the second one you put.) You could structure your essay that way, but it would make for a long one. You could have your thesis something along the lines of both had advantages and disadvantages and then have one paragraph describing the advantages of both countries and on describing the disadvantages. Or you could do both the advantages and disadvantages of American in the first body paragraph and those of Britain in the second. Just make sure the order makes sense with your thesis.
