Well, if you want to find out their analysis of the present U.S. gov't, consider their postions in the 1780s. Hamilton was the leader of the Federalists (advocates of a stong central gov't). They believed in loose interpretation of the constitution for Congress' "implied powers". You could use this to evaluate (in Hamilton's perspective) of whether the US under Bush had the authority to intervene in Iraq. The constition didn't say thet couldn't or even the public display of the ten commanments in the Court system. Hamilton was pro-British (analyze current US -brit relations),an advocate of a large army and navy, close ties between the Fed gov't and the B.U.S, a BUS, and tariffs. Jefferson was an advocate of strict interpretation, weak central gov't , small armies, more agriculture, no BUS, and no tariffs. Just apply these central beliefs to current issue and analyze their respnose. Good luck!!
