Well, think about it. Jackson didn't like Indians in general, he thought they were lesser people. Even though he was all about the "free man" and "rights for those less fortunate..." he was a rich plantaion owner from the South. Georgians wanted the Seminals out for production purposes, the Cherokees were in the way of development further past the Appalations.
