Okay. I'm having trouble with a question, its an opinion. The question is do you agree that Lyndon Johnson would have been the greatest president ever if Vietnam never happened.

I have to explain.
I don't agree with that because I think FDR was ultimately the greatest president ever cause he got us through the depression, world war 2 but i don't think thats enough so if anyone can help with what they think, that'd be great.

Try researching about other bills, acts, or political views that LJ had that you think would have affected his term. Or maybe try to infer what he might have done on peacetime measures based on his actions in Veitnam? Hope it helps! And remember: in an opinion paper, never forget to present various reasons why your opinion is superior, instead of just bashing the other side . Good luck!

I disagree with ur response to it. FDR was a great president in my eyes because he worked side by side w the American People. There have been pleanty of depressions just not all of them were solved with the people of the US in mind. Take the depression of 1893, (i think that was Cleveland but dont quote me) the president had to borrow money to refill the treasury which was a huge upset to many Americans.
