While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
They're pretty much self explainatory. Jefferson believed the Constitution shoudl be interprepted word for word with no loopholes and exceptions. Hamiltion and a couple of other federalists believed in the loose construction by evoking the "elastic clause" of the Constitution (a precedent for enormous federa power).
The basis for each would definately be the Constitution. Now all you have to do is figure out why they although they both used the constitution as a base, they both recieved different reasonings and that'll be your answer you're trying to solve.
