Im very confused on writing a DBQ! Its due tomorrow and we had a week to work on it and i was doing it last minute bc i also have a project due tomorrow and tests..soo i was waiting till tonight. but of course im confused..
heres the question:
In what ways did the French and Indian War (1754-63) alter the political, economic, and idealogical (beliefs) relations between Britain and its American colonies?
now my question is.. for each paragraph do you use a theme. and are your arguments each the same for each paragraph but its backed up by a different theme (like for each paragraph) and are u suppose to have 3 arguments things? im so confused... HELP! and what should i know about the french and indian war for this?
So basically your thesis is the main idea. It answers the question. It could be something like, "The French and India War altered the so and so relations between Britain and its American colonies through whatever reason." The rest of the paragraphs should just back up your thesis. The paragraphs can be organized in however manner you wish. I always made each paragraph a specific topic. In this case, I would've gone with a political paragraph, an economic paragraph and so on. For the political paragraph, you can say like "The British did this and this during the war, so relations (improved/deteriorated even further) due to this reason. Before, the British and the colonies were like (explain their situation)." And go on to give other examples of how the politics between the two changed.

thank you!! you helped a lot! i think im all set now! =]=]=]

just have one parargaph for political, economic, and idealogical.
basically the above by simplyfantab.
good luck =]
get busy livin' or get busy dyin'
if the #13 is unlucky, then 12 & 14 are guilty by association :P
well i know britain became in debt after the war is that what the main point is about? and then.. what should i say what happened before the war..well of course they werent in debt buttttttttt....
Well the main point would focus on how relations between the colonies and the British changed. You would just state they changed (depending on how you take it, for good or for bad) due to whatever you think the main cause was.
You can use the British debt as one of your supports in your economics or political paragraph. How did the debt affect the colonies? What did the British do to relieve their debt? Did the colonies respond well to the British? These are some questions to consider answering in your paragraph.
