Three Civil War Dbqs

I have three DBQs to do in class tomorrow and I'm really behind on my reading. Please Help!

1) The Civil war was not inevitable; it was the result of extremism and failures of leadership on both sides." Assess thi statement, using your kknowledge of the period from 1830 to 1860.

2) to what extent was the election of Abraham Lincoln a mandate for the abolition of slavery in the United States?

3) It is clear that all the lives that were lost int he American Civil War to insure a "new birth of freedom" were in vain. By 1880, the South had defeated the weak Northern effors in behalf of the freedmen, and had reenslaved the Negro." Assess the validity of this statement using hte documents and youre knowledge of US history.
