K, heres the problem. I've got an in-class essay tomorrow, and we've been given the question ahead of time so that we may prepare for it. Trouble is, i dont understand what it's asking for. It states "The Republican's plan for reconstruction democratized the south. Assess the validaty of this statement."
We've gone over the reconstruction plans in depth, and I can see the pros and cons. however, i fail to see how "democratizing the south" fits here.
