Hi, I don't know if this has come up before, but are there any recommendations/comments/tips that anyone could offer about the review books for APWH? Comments on whether Princeton Review/Barron's/Kaplan/5 Steps to 5/etc...are good and why.
It would be most helpful to know which provides sufficient information for the test in a fairly organized way. Any help appreciated.:)

i have the princeton review and kaplan books. i think theyre really helpful, i havent looked at my kaplan one much yet, but ive looked at the princeton review book. it has a ton of awesome information in there for the AP test. it has stuff on there about cracking multiple choice sections and DBQ and comparative essays. it also has like 2 practice tests, alongwith outlines of all the topics and chapters. plus its only like 20$, and for all the material it offers thats practically a steal. so i say go for it.

I got this awesome Spark Notes review kit for $15 at barnes & nobles. It's the sparknotes AP Power-Pack. It comes with some practice exams and a strategy book, A chart that is a huge timeline, an online diagnostic tesy, study plans, and 300 flash cards. Its not as amzing as thoes fancy books but if you get this and maybe another book that people recomend it should help alot :]

what kind of "fancy books" are there. i want to get one of those! my plan is to get a 4 or higher on the AP test or throw myself into an extreme period of depression.
(btw, i am joking a little bit.) =P

Mexicana-Do you mean like the Princeton Review or something? Or are you thinking of something different? Because those are only like $5 more I think.
Drummer-I heard Princeton was good...I read a review that said the person only studied from that and managed to still pass, though I don't recommend it. Kaplan i think is okay...it doesn't give very much info. on the topics. I haven't actually looked through Princeton review, so maybe they're all like that.

I've got Barons, which is pretty useful. It gets a little overly specific on the European history, and tends to skate the early Americas a bit, but the essay prompts are spot on, and the mini quizzes give you a good check on how well you absorbed the information.
I'm terrified about the test though, my instructer usually holds an overnighter to help us, and he took it away because of some idiots in the other classes. Apparently, he expects us all to fail now...
currently i am using barrons as a supplement to my ap textbook...
but i hrd princeton's is better?...what do guyz think?
