ok i know this may sound sorta blunt, but if ur gonna be hit by a hurricane then by all means, GET THE HECK OUTA THERE!!!!!!! i do feel compassion towards those lost in katrina and those who lost their homes. but theirs no need for more to die. hope u stay safe angelk16 and that your area doesnt end up being hit.

Well keep in mind EVERYONE was trying to get out, which meant NO ONE got out.
Plus, most of the people were dirt poor, most didn't own a car and those who did couldn't afford gas.

true, but then you get the people who said, yeah we heard one was coming, but we decided not to go. or even worse, the people who are in their really flooded homes because their too stubborn to leave. im just talkin about the people who stayed on their own will even though they knew the danger. the people who couldnt, thats a different story.

We being from a place that was effected I know i would leave just so nothing woukd happen but many people think that it will not come and if it does they can live through it but when they stay and cant get saved they are trying to kill people

that is true but most of them dont care b/c if there is a poss. they live they cant tell their friends what a bad experience and how ppl didnt help them
