Speaking from a college-goer's perspective, the more APs you take, the better. Even if you don't score high enough on the AP exam to earn credit for it, the APs make the classes so much easier. And it really helps to pass out of certain gen eds. Just be careful, and don't overload yourself with them. I'd say only take 3 AP tests at a time- but that's just because of my personal experience.

As a side note, I've taken 7 APs, but only took the test on five of them: Econ, Gov (got a 3), Eng lit (got a 5), Eng lang (got a 4), Chem, Bio (got a 4) and, of course US History (got a 5).

Is AP gov like the hardest class ever? Because I've NEVER met anybody who did really well on the test (I mean, 4 or 5. And/or and 'A' in the actual class).

Oh, I was mostly talking to xenahorse. AP Government and Politics, is AP gov, and I've heard it's really hard.

I signed up for 3 APs this year, but a teacher was a *@#!^&(?! and kicked me out of the class, so I'm only taking APUSH and AP Macroeconomics.

I'm taking APUSH and AP Cal right now. APUSH involves a LOT of reading and studying, while I Cal seems pretty easy for me. Then again, we haven't gotten to integration, yet.

For me, i have only one AP class and that is APUSH. i am hoping to take more in my junior year. from what i have been told, AP classes makes you more prepared for college even if you haven't scored high on the exam. if one does score high enough to earn credit for it then it is better since you save money in college (depends on the college, if they accept the credit or not)
* my note taking skill has become much better because of my APUSH class. a lot of note-taking in class*

The class really wasn't that hard- my problem with it was that, aside from the judiciary branch, I had no real interest in the class. I also didn't like the teacher at all- she was just...not there. She was pretty ditzy, and never really taught us. I do know a few people that got fives on it, so it's not impossible, but you really have to memorize a lot of facts for it.

I'm taking AP Psych and Govt next semester, but APUSH now. And next year, I'm doing mass more.

I'm taking only two this year. I could have taken 5 courses if I wanted, but I needed to fulfill certain requirements which I wasn't able to do. Plus I dropped out of AP U.S. History (but I was originally Honors, so I went up, then down. Consider that awesome, because it's rare in my school). The courses I'm taking are Calculus AB and English Language and Composition. I am taking 5 other Honors courses in my main curriculum and two extra Honors courses outside of the core curriculum (as in two EXTRA electives): Honors Journalism and a Theology Seminar course.

Next year, I may probably be in four or five AP courses out of seven in the core curriculum. That depends if I am admitted into my school's Honors Humanities Seminar. If not, I shall probably take another AP course, probably AP Economics, as my friends said that that is one of the easier AP courses. Those AP courses will be: AP Science (Chem or Environmental), AP English Literature and Composition, AP Calculus BC, AP Spanish Language, and, if I am not admitted (which is unlikely), AP Microeconomics.

The Honors courses will be Classics-Drama, the Humanities Seminar, Journalism, Peer Leadership or Theology, and the Theology Seminar.
