When I had spent my summers here in Indiana, I used to tell my self that I could not imagine being a creative teenage in this town. Well, it looks as though I'm going to have to be.
On the plane trip here, I looked out from my Aisle 17 window seat unto a plethora of developments. So far, that's all I've seen of Fishers. School won't start up here for another month and a half or so, and until then, there's not much I can do.
I'm missing the summer musical. My school district back in New York puts on a district wide musical for the 4 inner-city public schools, and every year I've acted, built and painted the sets, and took the headshots for the playbill. This year, they're doing Rag Time, and I had to tell the director I was moving away..
I'm staying with my aunt and uncle for the year. Senior year. New home, new school, new town, new state, new everything. They have two baby twin girls, and those are about the only thing keeping me sane right about now. I haven't even figured out what school I'm going to be starting at, so I don't know what summer reading to take care of!
Tomorrow I head to my one week summer program at Indiana University. There is a chance that I'll make some friends there, but if you think about it, there will be kids from all over, so the chances of making friends with someone close enough by to hang out with until school starts is pretty slim. It's just a little upsetting that I have to miss watching the seniors graduate.
I'll check in next weekend after my camp. I'm just itching for teenage contact that isn't over facebook or a cellphone.
