Stress!

Jul 08, 2009

Stress, Stress, Stress! we've all head that word used a lot through out our school year. We've also heard that most teenagers and adults go through it. They learn how to deal with it. But How? How does a teen deal with stress?

Obviously, there are many ways that one could try to deal with stress. But the first step that is most important (especially to me) in relieving stress is figuring out what is stressing you out. Is it a homework assignment, test, or a big project coming up soon? Ot maybe it's not a school thing, but a family, friend or personal problem.

But whatever it is, you should try and fix it. Maybe just by solving you problem will help relieve your stress.

Anyways, there are many enjoyable activities you could do to help relieve stress. They can range from athletic or physical activities to artistic and creative to even simple relaxing activities.

First some athletic or sports activities like running, swimming, lifting weights or any type of sport can help lessen your stress. Sports can help you work off your stress because they give you something to do to forget your problems for a while. Also, just because it's not a sport but is athletic, it could help you. For example building items out of wood or anything like that.

Next you have your artistic or creative crafts. For example you could paint, draw, or sculpt clay. Also needles crafts such as knitting, cross stitching, or crocheting are also great stress relievers. There are millions of arts or crafts you can do if you like them that are in that area.

Finally if you're not really into sports or arts and crafts, you could do simpler less extensive activities such as reading a good book, writing an interesting story, or doing something that you have been putting off for a while like organizing you closet or baking a new recipe.

So, clearly there are a lot of new things you could try to relieve your stress. You can do something you're never done before or something you already love doing. But the best way to get free from your stress if it is caused by a problem is to ultimately find a solution to it. Fix it!
