?Ships at a distance have every man?s wish on board. For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing.? Many times in a book a character can be related to many forms of other things like nature. You never really realize it until you are done with the book and are talking about it in class. In particular the Hurricane happening throughout chapter 18 can be related to Janie along with the Horizon mentioned many times throughout the book.
