The question is:
"One historian has written, 'the British ruled the colonies for 150 years and lost them in 12.' Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not? Use as many specific facts in your answer as possible.

Anybody have any ideas?

This is the thesis I have for now: I disagree that the British lost the colonies in only twelve years, because the British always had policies toward America that separated them.
