AP Superlatives #2 1. What were the most 3 evident similarities of northern colonies in the 17th century? The greatest 3 differences? (6 pts) The northern colonies were mainly inhabited by families, usually those in search for religious freedom. The north focused on a family-based lifestyle. This led to another similarity ? the northern colonies were very community based. With tight-knight cities due to few rivers and cities based primarily along the coast due to the accessibility of resources, many families were able to form a community. Dense populations led to town meetings which became the cradle for democracy. The north based their economy similarly on resources. As opposed to farming, the north fished, gathered lumber and fur, and built ships. the rest because it was a sort
