The Fall Of Two Worlds Han-dynasty China and the Roman Empire were two of history's most powerful and prosperous civilizations, in their respective heydays. However, both met their downfall after a long, protracted demise. In Rome, diminishing moral values, economic decline, and unstable leadership led to the dissolution of the empire. In Han China, failure was instead precipitated mostly by peasant uprisings, warlords breaking free from the centralized government, and lawlessness in the kingdom. Both Rome and Han China, however, experienced the damaging effects of corrupt centralized government, weak leadership, and rapid overpopulation.
