Kurudimov ? PAGE ?5? Karina Kurudimov Mr. Simmons H English 9 13 May 2011 The Diversity of Love Romeo and Juliet is tragedy by William Shakespeare that is about a pair of lovers whose parents were enemies. By the end of the play Romeo and Juliet ended up taking their own lives just to be with each other. After the couple killed themselves their families finally ended their feud and agreed to live in peace since their hate for each other cost them the lives of their only children. This play teaches the valuable lesson that young and impetuous love can lead to disaster. Throughout the play there is three main different types of love portrayed: the cynical love of Mercutio and the Nurse, the unrequited love between Romeo and Rosaline, and the true love between Romeo and Juliet.
