Communicating with an Audience Aristotelian Triangle The Aristotelian triangle (also known as the rhetorical triangle) explains the interaction involved in a piece. All factors affect the structure and language. Speaker/Writer Audience Subject >When choosing a subject, consider what you know, what others have said, and what evidence you have to support your claims. - don?t talk about a topic you know nothing about >When choosing an audience, consider what they know about the topic and what their attitude is. - don?t explain photosynthesis to a five year old with the same language you would use to explain it to a biology major. >Choose your persona carefully ? the character you create when you are speaking or writing will affect how you do it.
