The human heart was the most valued and sacred organ of the human body. It was used to fuel the sungod. Sacrifice was considered and honor and it showed ones loyalty. It was not considered murdur. For the rain god, child sacrifice was required. The child must cry before death in order for the ritual to work and the rain god to give the aztecs rain. Conquered people were not killed but used as sacrifices. People were also demanded through the tributeary system. Preists would eat body parts in their rituals as well.
