Manuel Esparragoza 11/28/11 Period 1 Septic vs. Sewer The long and drawn-out debate of septic tanks versus sewer systems remains one of the most frequently debated issues in the environmental community in terms of which is more eco-friendly. Their impacts on the environment vary and, like almost every issue, there are advantages and disadvantages to each. Throughout this essay, septic tanks and sewer systems will be assessed comparatively in respects to their differing applications of a functioning disposal system, their varying costs, and finally, the ultimate impact of each on the environment. For the purpose and length of this essay, the complexity and mechanical dynamics of septic tanks and sewage systems, analysis of both will be both preliminary and rudimentary.
