• Question 1: What impact did the Agricultural Revolution have on the environment and the social structures (women especially) of early Neolithic cultures?
Topic Sentence:
The environment was altered by man’s use of farming and clearing of the land while societies began to be organized around landowning and women’s roles changed as well.
Supporting Details:
• People settled permanently near fields which led to the rise of settlements and buildings which altered the surrounding landscape.
• Grain plants needed large amounts of land to be cleared and tilled which also greatly altered landscapes.
• Slash and burning was prominent but it used up the land and thus more was needed.
