OBJECTIVE: SWBAT describe the beliefs, customs, and spread of one of the FIVE major World Religions. (SOLs 4,6,8,10) PROCEDURE:
Choose the religion: Hinduism Buddhism Christianity Islam Judaism For your paper: Paragraph One and Two: Include basic rules of the religion Is it mono or polytheistic what is the name of the God/gods What is their holy book are there other sacred writings? What are their basic beliefs explain each -Paragraph (s) Three and Four: Is it an Ethnic or Universalizing Religion? How does it UNITE and/or DIVIDE people throughout the world? Are there similarities with other World Religions? Hint: It is best to compare /contrast Buddhism and Hinduism AND Judaism with Christianity and Islam
