May 10, 2009 DW Character Analysis Robin was taken in by her aunt, Miss Whitlaw, after her parents died. She was considered a ?burden? to her aunt. Both Robin and Moon Shadow share the fact that they are not accepted into society. Robin tries to fit in by eavesdropping on other peoples? conversations. She plays an important role in Moon Shadow?s involvement in America. Robin is described by Moon Shadow as a ?fox demon?, referring to her red hair. Unlike the other girls of the time, Robin does not like to do stereotypical things like sewing and cooking. Often playing outside, she has numerous scratches and bruises on her legs. Though Robin is a sweet girl, she is very tough and comfortable with herself.
