Trafficking in Russia Human trafficking in its most basic sense is the illegal sale and trade of humans for exploitation, whether they were taken by force or not. This exploitation could be anything from the most known being prostitution to the most predominant being forced labor. Prostitution is the sexual exploitation of women and young girls for profit. Forced labor in terms of human trafficking is often described as the ?modern day slavery.? Even though slavery was abolished well over a hundred years ago, this new form of slavery has been taking place illegally in all parts of the world. Together with other forms of exploitation, they make up human trafficking.
