Nonvascular plants stay in shady moist areas because the need a steady amount of water without being cut off by other plants. They cannot live in the sunny areas because vascular plants will cut off the sunlight because they are bigger. 1. Bryophytes, hepatophytes, and anthocerophytes are the three divisions of nonvascular plants (C.). 3. Lycophytes include club mosses (D.). 5. Vascular tissue is important because it helps the plant to transport water and nutrients (C.).
