My Left Foot Film Answers 1. Christy was deemed as a "vegetable" by doctors. He proved all those doctors wrong by painting, writing, and getting a speaking and exercise coach (Eileen). Christy's mother worked hard to support Christy and make him feel like a part of the family. Christy's dad was successful with the fact that over time, he stopped going out to the pub just about every evening for a drink. Instead, he would stay at home with the children. Mona was successful because she overcame being cramped in the house, got married, and moved out.

The King?s Speech: Study Guide Answers I liked all of the film! I thought the actors got into character extremely well; the acting was superb. I really liked the plot; what happens behind closed doors (especially in the royal family) is always interesting to learn. I also learned so much about the royal family that I never knew before. I obviously knew a bit about [the current] Queen Elizabeth, but I had no idea about the story of her father, fraternal grandfather, and uncle [Edward]. It was nice to learn so much about the royal history, and the film was well made.
