In Les Miserables, an ex-convict named Jean Valjean is determined to create a new life for himself. He was arrested for stealing a loaf of bread and for trying to escape from prison, and not until nineteen years later, he was released. Valjean comes across the town of Digne but as an ex-convict, he couldn?t find a place to stay. Luckily, he meets the bishop of Digne who takes care of Valjean even after hearing stories of his past.
