In Twelve Angry Men and Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry, the characters frequently face prejudiced opinions and threats of harm in many ways. Socioeconomic prejudice takes place in both books because of judgments and prejudices against the lower class because of their socioeconomic status. Both books also contain struggles of inherent power. However, in Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry most struggles are due to racism, which is not the case in Twelve Angry Men.
