The Mississippi delta is a diverse section of the USA and it is known as the birthplace of blues music. The delta is located in the northwest section of Mississippi. 2. How has the Delta influenced the development of blues music? The cotton fields gave inspiration to the first blues musicians during slavery. Shacks also give authenticity to blues all over the world. 3. What is culturally unique about the food in the Delta? They have koolickles and the delta gave birth to soul food. There are a lot of immigrants in the delta, so lots of different types of food are present in the delta.
