Europeans rallied in favor of the Greeks despite conservative governments taking power in other parts of Europe. There are several ways one might view the personalities and state of the Greeks in the Ottoman Empire during the revolution. In any war, there are two sides. Most people were either for or against the condition and character of the Greeks. The Greeks had many critics when it comes to the idea of independence.
