Going to a summer camp can be either an amazing experience or a haunting thought of boredom or rejection. A summer camp can be centered on any topic from leadership to a tennis camp. Getting back today from my own third summer camp, I have learned alot. The type of camp plays a great deal into whether the camp turns out to be awesome or not. A camp that you are forced into or pushed into for a purpose other than from your own heart is the first step down the wrong path. I need gym credits because I find high school gym to be either a waste of time due to the teacher's inability to capture student’s athletic minds. In addition my yearly personal exercise should be enough to satisfy any no child left behind requirement. Anyways I needed a gym credit, so I climbed Pikes Peak with a school group for a credit. This week was a great exercise, yet the camp was not something that I could love. Everyone was too worried about what they were there to achieve-the credit or too obsessed in their own interests, their self indulged mindsets and the need to show off themselves to everyone. The other two camps I went on because I wanted to. They are camps that had kids who would come sit next to you and talk about life or if you were spirited enough a scream of a song. I was able to express who I was and then in turn to release the emotions of others. I have decided that in my blogs I will never make a list of recommendations for the two or maybe three people who read this to follow. I want to simply give my experiences to the table and for anyone who reads to find the meaning that means the most to them.
You have experiences from your successes, but you only gain experience from your failures. Don't ever be afraid to fail because every moment in life is a treasure not only the happy ones.
