Recently, a devastating earthquake struck the nation of Haiti. With an estimated death toll exceeding 200,000, this is amongst the decade's deadliest tragedies. The international community came together to help. President Obama promised $100 million in aid to Haiti. Likewise, a South American summit pledged $300 million.
