The Evils of Pressure

In an elitist society where education is more important now than in the past, it makes one think that maybe students are beginning to feel too much pressure, enough pressure to the point of breaking. Many students are feeling that without the proper education, they will not be able to get the dream job that they always wanted. Over the top college competition, along with the pressures of society make someone like me say: Enough!
I would first like to say, despite what society alludes to, education is not everything. My uncle is the richest person in my family, and he only graduated high school. My mother, the only one in her family to get a degree, is now the poorest person in her family. That being said, I still think education is important, and I am actively pursuing a career that requires it.
Ask yourself this: Is education the only way, or is it at all that big of a deal, if you do not get into Harvard? This is the first step.
The second step is to surround yourself with those who love you. No matter how much of a bad day you have, or how many losses that you collect, your loved ones will always be able to cheer you up, making this entire education process that much easier.
The third and final step is to notice that society naturally pressures everyone to do undesirable things. Once you realize that life is always going to be this way, it will seem like an everyday thing, resulting in no stress at all.

P.S. It is also recommended that you give yourself a break occasionally, and act selfish, disregarding the comments of those around you.
