We all know how challenging an AP class can be, and lets not forget
about the actual AP which comes at the end of the year (in early May).
Getting credit (which usually means getting a 4 or 5 on the actual AP) can
exempt you from taking that class in college. So you are actually a
highschool student learning college material! If that is not impressing then
I don't know what is!
There are several things you should take into consideration when choosing
your ap classes.
You always want to take a class that interests you. For instance
you took chemistry in your previous year, and you are intrigued with
the fascinating complexity of chemistry then you should definitely take
that class no matter what anyone tells you. Yes the class is challenging,
but you come out knowing so much more than you use to. (personal experience
with taking Ap chemistry in highschool)
Second, Always try to choose classes based on your intended major in
college. For example you want to major in biology. It does not hurt to take AP Bio in
highschool! Even if you do not end up getting the credits Bio class in
college will be alot easier.
Lastly do not let people discourage you. Remember that you are the only
one that knows your limits, and it's always great to challenge yourself !!
