Actually only half of the class is even taking the AP Test... That's sort of funny. I know so far that it will be the hardest test I will ever take, or that's what i've been told.

Many people in my class are arguing with our teacher and saying things like: "You aren't doing a good job preparing us for the exam." I'm here to tell you that confidence is a major key to success on the AP exams. If you have it, you will do well. These people are just frustrated, as many of the people on this site are as well. Don't get discouraged. Ask your teacher as many questions as you possibly can. If they hold study sessions for the exam, go to as many as possible. Take their suggestions and see if they work. They usually have alot more experience then we do in this area. The more material you know the better. This exam touches on that very well I think.

To answer your question, I actually do expect to get a 5. I've prepared more for this exam then ever. This year I have two AP exams: AP Language and AP U.S. History. I took AP World History last year, recieved an A in the class but got a 2 on the exam, all because I thought I would be glad to "just pass" with a 3. The problem was I wasn't shooting high enough. My goal was set too low and if you set your goals low, you can never achieve anything above that. Set your aspirations high, as many people I know who have had succes on AP exams before did. You will surprise yourself. I am striving for that cuvitted 5 and hope to achieve two scores of 5 when we get the results back in July. :D
Good luck my friend and remember, the class will only be as hard as you make it to be. Apply yourself, don't procrastinate, and STUDY EVERY DAY! You will come out on top with the right attitude. :)

We are currently in the Cold War era. WE take the 39-40 test on Friday before Sprink Break, then we have a take home test over spring break over 41-42, and lastly we have a test the day we get back from spring break over 43-44. We do a three week review in class every day plus we have study sessions after school every day for an hour all the way up to the exam. So we're getting good review.

Wow, that's a lot of feedback. I haven't checked back in a while I suppose. Thank you all for that information, now I have a much better understanding of these tests. My teacher has set up weekly study sessions and massive study guides for us all...If someone even misses one session, she screams like a psycho. Yeah things are looking better and again I appreciate all of the help.

P.S: This site works!!

Holy crap!! You are far behind. The test is 6 weeks away... gew. Well I'd double my study efforts considering your teacher moves as slow as molasis. Good luck.

Eep. My class has a test on ch. 17-20 in American Pageant tomorrow...Pre-civil war. Hah, good thing I'm not taking the AP test; we won't even get to WWI at this rate! My teacher spends a lot of our class time egging on students to debate questions, work DBQs, etc. Lot of questions, lot of homework, no skits or anything fun except for the occasional poster. It could be worse, though-- it could be AP Calculus. *shudder* And if you really feel far behind, it may not be too late for a Panic AP Test Book.
