We justed started the Guilded Age yesterday, and the class started in January. My class doesn't really do acting stuff. It's mostly take notes, work on DBQ's, and discuss what's going on in the world/country/town.

Does that mean your not taking the AP test? We are in the 1930s

We're supposed to take it. I never really thought we were that far behind. Either way it doesn't really matter; if I don't pass I can always take a entrance exam.

We've finished the book(edition 12) and are sort of reviewing...

Those of us taking the AP exam are really being bombarded with DBQ essays about every other day. I still have 2 due tomorrow which I haven't even begun yet. They don't seem like they should be too difficult, but if you don't have enough "specific factual information," then you can kiss the score goodbye. I'm having trouble with adding in outside information to the events;I guess all that time I haven't studied is really biting me in the backside now.

My teacher is really struggling to get across how important the outside information is! Apparently she used to be an official grader for the AP essays and is telling us that about half should be outside information on the topic, and the rest should be related to the documents and their significance.

If any of you literary genuii can perhaps give us a few tips on writing the essays, it would be much appreciated. I have done horribly on practice DBQs in the past and require a little assistance in the matter.
Thanks again!

I don't really know what I meant. Once we got to Pre-Civil War i sorta spaced out. My friend says he thinks that's what it is, but he ain't sure.
