Essay DBQ ASSAULT!!!!

Today I recieved a union of 12 essays and DBQ's To complete.....

I am totally stressed out, because I also have the addition of a research project for A.P English, as well as the completion of an animated short for my animation class........

I'm constantly being pummeled with homework ......and I'm pretty sure my other teachers are planning something devious also.......

Aside from that I selected 4 of the essay and DBQ's that I think will trouble me......

1) "In 1830 Ralph Waldo Emerson called for a probing exploration of America nationality in literature and art. To what extent did the writers and painters of the American Renaissance answer that call"

-I'm not sure what this question is asking.....
-I need additional info on this "American Renaissance" (which I think is the cultural reform of the 1790's-1860's).....

2) "Discuss the rise of popular culture in the period 1830-1860; include the penny press, the sentimental novel theater, minstral shows, and popular health and science movements. How did technological advances of the period affect popular culture. (I think I quoted this question wrong...I might have to edit later)

-I need strict information of this period.....

3) "Reform movements in the United States sought to expand democratic ideals." Assess the validity of this statement with specific reference to the years 1825-1850."

-I need information for this also....

4)Jacksonian Democrats viewed themselves as the guadians of the United States Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and equality of economic opportunity. In light of the following documents and your knowledge of the 1820's and 1830's, to what extent do you agree with the Jacksonian's view of themselves?"

-Again I need information......

So if anybody can help it is greatly appreciated............
-I've checked the site outlines and am currently making outlines for all the essays I have....but I'm running out of evidence and specifics.....

So PLZ provide any help possible.......

Ok, I will actually answer, but first I have to know....how long did she give you to do these, and WHY 12 at once????

Is this common for people at this site?

That question I cannot really answer....but my theory is that HE was dissapointed at our last test grade....and since the essay part of the test was where we scored the lowest...he wanted us to practice hardcore for essays..... thats my presumption....I say its his fault for not giving us a rubric or something....watever....

These essay r due one after another starting tommorow.....I cant possible research all these everyday (well maybe I can)....but still i think its illogical to force feed essays to students.....doesnt matter anyway the essay I need done 2day is number 4

This is my Suggested Order of Importance
1.United States Constitution
-I have vetoes....

2.Equality of Economic Oppurtunity
-I have tariff of 1828...

3.Political Democracy
-I have nothing yet...

4.Individual Liberty
-I also have nothing yet...

So if anybody can provide detail I would greatly appreciate it....and can anybody provide insight on how you approach this essay...

You are correct about the American Renaissance, what it is more specifically is the distinctive national literature and art that developed. Emerson was a transcedentalist along with Thoreou. Other prominent writers were James Fenimore Cooper, Washington Irving, and Walt Whitman. The Hudson River School was developed around this time specifically focusing on the painting of American landscapes.

p.s. sorry if this is too late
p.p.s These are DBQs Document Based Questions...don't they give you information?

This is basically How I am approaching my thesis/ introduction for Jacksonian Democracy DBQ (its underdeveloped) and I desperately need information for (...) parts....

With the domination in the polls Jackson became the president that ended the Virginia Dynasty. His government reign changed the surface of America by disregarding the equality of economic opportunity, political democracy, the United States Constitution, and individual liberty. His destruction in the economy included passing the Tariff of 1828, vetoing of the bank's re-charter in 1832, and allowing inflation in which the Treasury Act of 1840 could not stop. The Jacksonian Democracy also damaged the Constitution by over-utilizing the powers of the executive branch and did not sustain three separate and equal branches of government, as Constitutionally required. While it shunned political democracy by (I) and (II) it also ignored individual liberty with the Indian Removal Act and its egalitarian efforts, which were focused on white males. Ultimately corrupting the United States by destroying the common view of man but honestly attempted to help common Americans.

Plz provide any help possible I would greatly appreciate it...once I got a moderately intro/thesis I can build a semi-succesful essay.....(need more time ahhhhh :()

Edit: After Viewing Additional Info I might take a negative standpoint view for this essay but any info agreeing or disagreeing with the question is appreciated....

for the one about 3) "Reform movements in the United States sought to expand democratic ideals." Assess the validity of this statement with specific reference to the years 1825-1850." There is a ton of stuff about this one. Temperance, womens, slaves, education, asylums all had big news during the time. If you need more help, I just went over this chapter this unit, email me at smartalecc5[at]aol.com, for more help. I'd be glad to respond and help u out.

hey, i'm doing this dbq right now

Jacksonian Democrats viewed themselves as the guadians of the United States Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and equality of economic opportunity. In light of the following documents and your knowledge of the 1820's and 1830's, to what extent do you agree with the Jacksonian's view of themselves?"

and it has been discussed here, i'm thinking about going into the negative view on this one so what type of support should I use?

So far I have the overuse of vetoes, trail of tears, dislike of US bank (hurt economy)
