Do you mean that you belive that the majority of illegal immagrants are the farmers of the US's agriculture crops? Please, tell me how these are related- if you were an illegal imm'grant, I doubt you'd have enough money to buy enough land, supplies, ect to make an impact on the produce market...

If they had money, most of them in that situation.
I meant that the majority work picking vegetables and fruits for VERY low wages; some also work in construction and landscaping. After, fruits and vegetables are picked up, they eventually get to the store.

Ah, I now see the connection...and that argument does make sense, but remember that those are not the only low-priced jobs that they take part in; there is also construction, factory work, ect.

Which is preferable- immigrants or outsourcing? If the factory's here in the US then people at least have a chance at a job. Also, most jobs taken by immigrants, although not all, are low paying jobs that require little to no job skills, and are therefore desired only by young people (such as myself), people too lazy and/or broke to get a decent education for a better job, or immigrants who have no other choice to support themselves. Yes, America's youth may depend on these jobs to get cash for a new cd, but most immigrants are working to support a family.
Please think too about the historical aspect- immigrants have always played a large part in industrial and agricultural labor in the US. There have always been minorities doing hard work for low wages- the Irish and many Eastern European groups did for years. Most American families would not be here without the opportunities these same jobs provided. Hell, the KKK was as anti-Irish as they were anti-black.

I live in pennsylvania, so this is "hate mexicans" country up here. So I'm a fan of a super hard illegal immigration crackdown.

I personally don't need money to pay for that new cd as much as I need it to pay for my truck(gas, insurance, repairs, etc).
Also, we've got plenty of unemployed people over here sittin at home on welfare that can get out and go to work in the fields, we don't need illegal immigrants for that. And the worst people of all are the illegal immigrants on welfare, they really get to me.

I can definitely understand needing gas money and such, I was just making a point with the CD argument. As I said, most, not all, people with low income jobs have another choice.
Again I say, although there are exceptions, most of those unemployed Americans on welfare (not all) are on welfare because they don't want that type of job, thinking it beneath them. As for immigrants on welfare, well, what can I say? The system is effed up. Even so, their numbers are relatively low.
