Help on group project!!! PLEASE?!

So, in our AP US History class, our teacher assigned us a group project with three prompts (our group split into two and we took two). She told us that all the material we would need could be found in Chapter 11... However, we can't find anything that answers our prompt!! TT___TT Can you help us?

Our prompts are as follows:

#2. The indications of American cultural nationalism that were beginning to emerge during the first two decades of the 19th century.

#3. The effects of the revolutionary era on religion, and the changing religious patterns that helped bring on the Second Great Awakening.

Any help???

#2 - If I remember right, that was when the Americans were moving westward and although they destroyed nature, they revered it. American Art started to emerge (lanscape art) and the Hudson River School was formed for that purpose. And I guess religion is the other reason. I dunno.

#3 - Isnt this when the evangelical religious right started becoming potent? It was really strong among Methodists and Baptist. Finney was one of the most well known becasue of his ocement in western NY along the Clay Canel. It later came to be called the BurnedOver District. Also, the Mormon religion was formed during this time.

Hope I helped. Im pretty sure we have different books, but we already got past this part. =P

We have to do a poster on it... A large poster... and we need three visuals... And somehow, we have to incorporate an Intro and Conclusion in it.... TT____TT She was very vague in her description... and she's really no help at all... It's due in two days. We really have no information.

Ok, the visual could be pictures of the Hudson River School and American Landscapes painted around that time. And for the 3rd prompt, you can have Finney or just type "The Second Great Awakening" in google or something.

The Intro to #2 could be something like "Around the the beginning of the 19 century, the Americans, in the voyage of westward expansion, realized the uniqueness of the American soil. Although they knew they destroy this land to make room for them to live in, they couldn't help but revere the land." etc etc. Conclusion can be pretty simple. Just go back and repeat what you said but with different wording.

The 3rd one can be along the lines of "The Second Great Awakening brought a monumental religious revival. During this time, religion became the bulk of the society and it affected strongly the Methodist and the Baptist. Many people started movements and among these people, Charles Grandison Finney, an evangelist, started a movenment along the Clay Canal which later became known as the Burned-Over District." etc etc.

Well, have fun.
