I was at a party at my friends house last weekend and we all got kinda buzzed. Then, me, another guy, and a girl that I really like got more than a little buzzed. This other guy is a friend of mine and he was kinda all over the girl. So, I got pissed becuase he knew I liked her and he was still going ahead with her (mind you he was pretty drunk). Long story short, they were given a condom and I got into a fight with this guy about letting him use it. We both got pretty messed up (he has a split lip and cut cheek and i have a black eye, a broken finger, and a huge raspberry on my chin). We havent talked since. Is this whole thing my fault? Should I have let it go even though she was really drunk? And should I be the first to make ammends to him?
I'm lost and I need help here.

Approach him and talk to him, but be sure to remind him that you all were pretty drunk. Yeah, you should apologize to him since it sounds like you started the fight, but remind him that you liked the girl and were worried about her that night.

I'm sorry about what happened pmac13, but i agree with xena that you guys should sit down and talk it out...i can't really say that it was your fault since you all were really drunk, but i can can say that drinking too much leads to trouble...
if you can, pull him aside and have a one-on-one, after all, you guys were friends, right? you shouldn't let a friendship pass you by because of a crush, you get what i mean right?

Well, i can't say that i have been drunk, but i know that when you do get wasted that your true self tends to come out. (or so i have heard) maybe that is what he really wanted to do. You will never know unless you talk to him...and do it in person! And for the girl, she must have wanted it to unless she wouldn't have done it. just think about it

I agree. You definitely stopped something terrible from happening. Unfortunately, in doing so, you caused another issue =/
I also think the only way to resolve this mess is to talk to the other guy. You won't fix anything if you don't take (peaceful!) action.
