Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
Awesome, I will have some questions for you eventually!
Ah, thank you, Shadow!
I will definitely take advantage of your offer, when the questions begin.

Music Theory is like my life. I'm thinking of going to grad school for theory to teach it at a college. And I'm a jazz guy so I actually have to use all the theory I learn in practical situations, so I know it intuitively as opposed to just being able to rattle off facts.
I have some issues with classical musicians and some of their refusals to see the value of theory. I could rant on and on.

Nice guitar by the way
Hopefully you're not talking about my avatar, cause that is a picture of guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel.
Although there is a picture of me with my ES-335 playing a gig in my profile.
Either way, thanks :D

Gah!
Can anyone help me construct an F# Melodic Scale? I've got F# G# A B C# D E F# and then the next E is driving me crazy!!!
E-F is normally a half step, so a sharpened F means they're on the same 'level' right? So then you'd sharpen it right? But then the next B I can't figure out. I'm putting on a double sharp. And then it doesn't par out!
I know you can mix sharps and flats on a melodic scale, but I don't think it works on an F#.
I am so confuzzled.

Let's see, isn't it whole-whole-half-whole-whole-whole-whole-half?
F# - G# - A - B - C# - D# - E#(F) - F#
Or are you really trying to make a harmonic minor which is whole-whole-half-whole-whole-half-whole-half? The harmonic would be:
F# - G# - A - B - C# - D - E#(F) - F#
