Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
It's not whether you agree with one or the other, it's about what's right. Politically and ethnically right.
Also, it IS a theory, but that does't mean it's true, just means it isn't true 100% of the time.

In my opinion it is "right" to teach Evolution in all science classes because (for people who think it's wrong --->) even if it isn't 100% in all cases, it is the most recent scientific understanding on the subject that exists. Evolution has scientific evidence and even if you wish to disregard this in favor of creationism it is still important to understand it as a "theory." I'm sure all atheists are well aware of the creationist theory as well as Evolution, therefore, it should go both ways. Just because you don't believe something, doesn't mean it should be ignored.

Yeah, I agree. I also think it's important to listen to both sides. That way, people can choose which theories to believe.
I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

It's just like learning any other theory, be it science, math, etc.
I don't see why people make such a big deal out of it. In my school, teachers aren't allowed to talk about Darwin and evolutionism unless it's in a biology class.
I thinl it's bs.

Hate to break it to you, but despite all this evidence, it's STILL a theory. It will probably remain a theory until we can go back in time to the very moment when life on Earth began.

What theories should be taught in science class? The ones actually rooted in science, of course. Sorry intelligent design, maybe next time.
The idea of teaching that something supernatural might have created the natural world in a science class is downright ridiculous.
The reason evolution is a theory is because the next step is a law, and laws must be obeyed by all beings and objects. That's the reason it remains a theory. If it was a law, it would have to be 100% true 100% of the time, which it is not.

But than again... nothing is 100% all of the time.

Just curious along, but do you think that creationism should be taught in schools?
