Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
hello all
Well, maybe everyone at my school is right, i do study too much. But we took 7 AP multiple choice practices over the break and i got 73/100 on average on them, which rates as a high 4/low 5 on the exam. Yes, his tests are hard, but i will have very little studying for the exam.
As for those with less motivated teachers, it's tough to say. Try going to a bookstore and getting AP test practice books, with real exams in them, and rating yourself on those. And it would be a good idea to do that NOW!!!
I guess no one from my class has seen this post, even though i told everyone about this site months ago. IF anyone does see it, it is Mr. Hartman at SHS in florida. Just announce that you saw this in class, i'll say something.
peace out

me teacher is exactly like that but i study and i alwayz FAIL the test!
GeekyGretch wrote:Wow. You guys seem to have really involved teachers. We are required to do outlines on each chapter and then we listen to his lectures (he reads from straight from the book) and then we take the test--straight multiple choice on three or four chapters and one or two essays.
I don't feel prepared at all for the AP test.
Seems to be alot of people like that. Just try and study more on your own. Try different techniques. Form a study group.

my teacher does the exact same thing, do i know you?
Hey, do not beat ur self over this. Your teacher might be the bigges edited for content in the world, but do not let that get to you. Sometimes i think that is what they are paid to do; get into our heads. However, my teacher is one of the coolest, most dedicated, and intelligent teacher that i have ever had. He really knows his stuff-although he is a bit erratic and eccentric, telling us stories about the moon, and Nazi's in the center of the earth-but he is still good.
No, you do not have to study 8 hours to pass a test. All you have to do is make sure you read the text-book, take concrete notes from it, and listen to the lectures your teacher gives u. Also make sure to be done reading for a test about a day before hand, so that the information can digest and take form. Doing this technique has enabled me to have a 95 in the class..
Moderators Note- What: Watch the language please man
We must have different teachers. I'm not saying the class isn't fun, because it is, but just reading the book, taking notes, and listening to lectures isn't enough. Some questions are pulled from other sources and even other questions are cause and effect with a result that i've never heard of. Oh, well, i still do good anyway.
peace out

10 hrs studying for a test is not a lot of time. In my AP US History class we have to study 12-20 hrs. Reading the book is done individually plus we have notes that we take most days. Also, our tests are mainly composed of: 50 multiple choice (from past AP tests), essay, and a DBQ that we get 3-5 days to complete.
Luzzy:
How many chapters do your tests usually cover. And what type of questions are the mutiple choice?

Malerick:
Our tests usually cover anything from 3-6 chapters. The multiple choice questions are taken from past AP tests (making them hard). The highest grade any of the class gets on the multiple choice section is 38/50, which is bad.
My test usually covers about three to four chapters. Any questions can be on the test. Our teacher mosty gives us questions based on the book or on his lectures in class-which i find extremely boring, and some of the time, slightly inaccurate.
