I just can't imagine myself studing from 10-20 hours-what could you guys possibly be doing to engage you in such superfluous activity? I study when i have a test, or when i don't understand the chapter, and trust me it does not reqire up to 3 hours to do that and keep a 95 average in the class. You guys should chill a little.

Our tests are pretty hard, but that may be because I rarely study for them. Well, correction, I do, but i'm finding that the goal of the class is more to get through the info. than to absorb it, and I just don't have the dedication to absorb it myself. I generally get somewhere around a C on my MC tests, which is okay. I usually get A's or B's on my tests, but as its AP and our teacher told use the tests are supposed to be rediculously(sp?) hard, i'm kinda satisfied. I have the chance to make my grades up with essays and random worksheets, so It all balances out in the end. I've found the best way to study is just to read the chapters a day or so before the test so the information is fresh in the mind.

Don't count on the essays and DBQ's to save you. I heard that the test is so long that before one gets to essay part, one becomes very tired and soporific. You might think you can count on the essay's, but you are forgetting that, sometimes, it may not be your day, and the asset you price the most would seem to have left you.

heh, i have no intention on counting on my writing abilities. I'm already starting to study like crazy, however, i do know from past experience that even when writing essays half alseep i've never gotten below a very high C. ((please don't hurt me. I'm just trying to provide evidence for a point)). But no, lately my essays have been bad and I know that i will need to study very hard for the exam if i'm to get anything with a 3 or above.

We also have units and are required to read the chapter and then quiz on it the next day. The units are about 4 or 5 chapters over 3 weeks and we have a butt load of other work required.

On top of that we have to read a book outside of class every 6 weeks from a book list.

I would say that I spend at least 15-20 hours per unit and am pretty burned out come test day. The tests are hard but we will hopefully be prepared for the test even though I have a C!!! Work my butt off for nothing!

Sorry dude, i did not know you were the kind of person that thought getting a C-high or not-is considered passing. Well count on your "high C" to save u. LOL!! I consider anything below a B as faliure-why count on a C, when you can a B, maybe even an A?

I'm taking APUSH and live in Florida too. My teacher gives us notes online and the option of printing them off or not. Our tests usually have about 40 -50 questions on them. If you need some good sites to help you study try www.invadersrealm.com or www.apstudent.com
Don't try to study for 10 hours though, it is best to find out what chapters you are going over for the test and read a little bit from them each night, don't overwhelm yourself. My teacher's test usually deals with those chapters and some review from previous chapters so we don't forget everything. If you have a bad memeory, try making your own outlines of old chapters, I find that's best to help me. GOOD LUCK!

The web site that you posted sucks really bad. They do not have concrete notes at all.

Well, I wouldn't classify them as "sucks really bad," I'v seen far worse, but I also would classify them as "good" either if you plan on focusing on those notes. Maybe use them for more of a general review.

What is a good site to study from. We have finnished the book and have a few weeks before the test, and I am freeking out. I don't feel like I know enough and I am willing to put forth the effort but I don't want to waste time studying things that will have no bennifit!!! So if you have any advice or sites please let me know!
