School clubs are a largely influential part of a student’s high school career. There are such a diverse amount of clubs for every type of person. No matter what your interest are, whether it is the arts, or purely intellectual, there is a club for you. There are so many benefits to being an active member of clubs, and you can also be involved in more than one. When joining a club, you can pick according to what peaks your interests, therefore while attending this club it will be fun to you. Yet another great benefit of clubs is that it is similar to an interest group, people with similar interest will be drawn to the club. Therefore, friends can be made much easier, as many students know; school is a much easier process, when you go through it with friends. Many students gain a sense of moral accomplishment through clubs, as well as quenching many intellectual pursuits. Then for those college bound students, clubs have another purpose as well. Clubs look great on a college resume, the more clubs that you are active in, the better, it shows a truly well rounded student, one of the largest aspects that colleges look for. Some other clubs, such as the National Honor Society require a certain amount of clubs in order to be admitted, so it is crucial that you are a participant in school clubs. Many school clubs are known as community service clubs, clubs in which service hours can be made. With this, scholarships can be applied for, and philanthropy can be looked at by colleges. Finally, there is one more valuable asset that clubs offer students, and that is experiences. Clubs will involve you in activities that you could never do otherwise, and lets you immerse yourself in so many different areas, and enjoy high school more than ever.
